Could any one please send me the information on BADI with some simple exaples of how to implement BADI which is easy for a beginner like me to understand.
I have seen a lot links put by experts on BADI but most of them have expired.
Kindly send me information on BADI along with few screenshots on how to implement a simple BADI.

Hello all!
I guess this should be a quite simple process to most of you guys, but I would like some help with creating ( + designing) a label for a material (if possible with a qr code!). I browsed the web for help and found some information pointing out for Print Label (tcode: OMCF) and Output Control (tcode: NACE).
Still - I am a bit foggy on where it all comes together. At material master I believe I should mark the label type and label form that I should define in OMCF to a material (also setting the Application Object there as MVKE for Material texts and sales) ?
Finally I would like to create labels of different sizes with a certain design. If I select the "Maintain Label Text" in OMCF, the editor does not seem to have the purpose of designing the label as i would want.
The label (one of the sizes) should look something like this:
So maybe you can give me some advice how to successfully put all of this together - that is - how to design and create a label for a material?

Thanks for answer, I understand your reply, but I dont understand the sapscript I haven been given, all start at MB90 to print MIGO, I fill the required fields finally run the report and it jumps to a text element, I dont know how it jumps. I attach the images.
I was always under the impression that the life time of a static attribute in ABAP equated to the the life time of a single user session.
I don't think so. The lifetime of static attributes is that of the program runtime. (Read - ABAP Keyword Documentation)

Our SRM system version is 7.0 EHP3 and Portal version is NW 7.4. Last week, our portal team informed us be informed that many users are unable to see shopping cart related tasks in their task list. Clearing the UWL cache also not resolves the issue. We checked the UWL related applications and have found inconsistencies. Many such applications are partially started and not running on all the server nodes.
We started the Portal (PI Portal) and post that UWL related application were started, means status was up and running (GREEN).
The cause of the blank shopping carts was resolved through the restart of the PI Portal system.
As the Portal and Basis Teams were investigating, the shopping carts that were previously there disappeared after the restart. Restart seemed to resolve one issue of blank shopping carts. The disappeared shopping carts had not come back home. Means the restart has not flushed records from the table KMC_UWL_ITEMS2. Later we truncated table KMC_UWL_ITEMS2. Cache was cleared from DB end and this resolves the issue i.e disappeared shopping carts had come back home.
Has anyone faced this issue? I need to understand the flow. Questions:
1. The cause of the blank shopping carts that was resolved through the restart (PI Portal) of the system, how?.
2. What caused the shopping carts to disappear from the task lists of users and how truncating table KMC_UWL_ITEMS2 brought back the disappeared shopping cart back.
3. Why restarting the PI Portal and Portal DB doesn’t resolve the issue and truncate was required?
4. Additionally what can be done to avoid such situations to appear again in future?
I had never face this issue in the past. My understanding for such scenario in Portal is not huge. Apologies if I didn’t frame my queries in a correct manner. Please help. Our SRM system version is 7.0 EHP3 and Portal version is NW 7.4

We are currently in the planning stages of an HCPms hybrid application. I am now trying to get my head arround the different authentication methods and how to propagate identity to out backend system.
To give you a little background, the backend is an OData service on SAP Gateway. A requirement of our solution is that all requests must be made using the mobile users own SAP user. This is to ensure that autorizations are respected and that all changes are recorded under that user name of the user who actually made them.
From reading various documentation from the web and the rapid deployment solution, i get the impressesion that the only way to ensure that the user logs into the backend system using his own identity is to use Principal Propagation. Reading on it seems that a requirement for using Principal Propagation betwee HCPms / HANA Cloud Connector and the SAP Gateway system, is to use SAML2 for authenticating the mobile user in HCPms. Can anyone confirm things so far?
I have also looked at SCIM and my understanding is that this can be used to authenticate users with the HANA Clound Connector User Store. In this case the protocol would be basic authentication. This would essientally allow our mobile users to authenticate against Active Directory without going via an SAML identity provider. But in this scenario is there a way to forward user identity to the SAP Gateway system? I guess there would need to be some way to forward the basic authentication header / creadentials to the SAP Gateway system. But from reading the documentation it seens the basic authentication option for backend systemets requires a technical users and so would make all requests under that user...
Any input will be much appriciated!

Hi,
I have a problem with a changed domain that is used in an authority field.
We had an authority field with a dataelement with a domain of two characters.
Then we changed that domain from two to five characters and regenerated all dependend objects. The authority field was changed too and accepts now 5 characters. Even no problem with almost all customers.

But there is these one customer, where this field in PCFG still accepts only two characters, even when valuehelp shows five.
Please, can someone help with this problem?

doesnt matter, take another look to DSR documentation - it perfectly match needs for distinguishing clients for SAP backend systems for every scenario. The idea behind is: one system object, single set of PCD content. The fact if people affected by this mechanism using mutual applications resp PCD objects is not relevant

Necesito subir por datatransfer los depósitos que nos hace transbank de las tarjetas de crédito y débito.
Si bien creo contar con las plantillas de que dispone SAP para llevar a cabo esto (Deposit.xlt y CreditLines.xlt), no tengo claro cuáles son los campos mínimos que deben ser llenados para que el sistema procese correctamente el deposito.
Ojalá alguien pudiera ayudarme indicándome un caso de ejemplo.

If the parameter RECCLIENT is set to a client in the system profile and in the transport profile, the system logs any table changes made in the specified client. To do this, you must set the transport profile parameter RECCLIENT to <client>on the Transport Tools tab in the TMS configuration for the system.

Sometimes you can see the actual response from ERP system when you call via soap adapter, you can find it by click on tab Further Links and click on log viewer then the response soap envelope you can see in new window like below.
If you cant find anything enable TraceHTTP parameter in soap adapter as per this log and see the actual response from ERP to find out the root cause.HTTP tracing in SOAP receiver adapters with TraceHTTP module parameter

We have recently migrated from 7 to 10.1. When I was transporting the environment for the first time (from Sandbox to Development), I am getting the below error:
Post Transport, I can see the entity, r_entity & time dimension are properly but there is no members. There are members in Sandbox for these dimensions.
